Seacoast is a soccer club in New England. Seacoast teams participate in tournaments throughout New England. Seacoast doesn't only have soccer teams, they have training sessions to help players with their skills. They are expanding somewhat to having field hockey practices and some pick-up ultimate frisbee games. The closest training facility is in Brewer. Seacoast is a great program to improve your skills. They have many different programs--from teams, to foot skills, to conditioning.
12 Apps to Help you be a Better Student

1. Duolingo- Duolingo is a language learning app used to help you learn and remember a language of your choice. Here at JFDS, we don’t need to take a language in 8th grade but you do in 6th and 7th. This app will help you tremendously.
2. Sleep Cycle- Don’t be fooled by the name. This app is indeed used for sleeping but using it can help you for school, not just sleep. It tracks how much sleep you get. You can use it to help make a better sleeping routine which will keep you awake and positive all throughout the school day!
3. Elevate- Elevate is a brain training app that improves your skills for multiple classes like Math, ELA, etc.
4. Sunrise Calendar- Sunrise Calendar is a mobile agenda that helps you stay on top of what you’re doing. It sends you notifications for when something is due or if you have a sports event, etc. If you’re not on top of what you’re doing you’ll always be behind!
5. RefMe- RefMe is a citation app that helps you make citations really easy. It makes making citations so much easier!
6. Quizlet Mobile- If you go to JFDS, then there is a good chance you already know what Quizlet is. Still it is a good idea to download so you can study wherever, and whenever you want.
7. Infinite Campus Mobile Portal- Like Quizlet mobile, IC online is something all JFDS kids know. It is a good idea to download it because you will be able to check your grades at all times. Also if you leave your laptop at school on accident or forget your charger, you will still be able to check your grades.
8. Google Docs/ Drive- Surprisingly, the app google docs isn’t something your phone already has downloaded when you get a phone. So it is a good idea to download it so you can write your papers and projects, anywhere!
9. Google Classroom- Google classroom is an app that lets you add classrooms and you can check to see what you have due, or you can turn stuff in. It is a very helpful app.
10. Evernote- Are you good at staying organized? Well if not, Evernote is the perfect app for you. It helps you store photos, notes, and files and sync them to all your devices. You can also make to-do lists and voice memos so you don’t forget the things you need to do.
11. EasyBib- It helps save your citations in a list along with books you’ve scanned, and it helps you to skip figuring out the information that is included in your citation.
12. SimpleMind- SimpleMind makes it easy to organize your thoughts and rearrange chart connections to help you fit it to the assignment.
